An oven glove, or oven mitt, is an insulated glove usually used in the kitchen to protect hands from high temperature items such as ovens, stoves and cookware.
Fabric oven gloves are made of cotton outer layer with heat insulation inside, with decorative patterns. High-quality gloves are treated with silicone to be waterproof and stain-resistant, or made of durable synthetic materials like Kevlar and Nomex.
Oven mitts are commonly sold individually, suitable for both left and right hands.
